Flemming Holm was born in Funen, Denmark, in 1948. Over the years he has worked with modelling, granite, bronze, marble, installations as well as oil on canvas.His first official début took place at ” Kunstnernes Påskeudstilling ” – one of the four qualifying exhibitions in Denmark. Has also shown works at other juried exhibitions and held one-man shows in Denmark and abroad. Consignment work for private as well as public institutions. Works sold to art societies, banks etc.

To me, though, a concept
With a whole different meaning...
a challenge.
The harder the better.
The fight begins,
I´m in charge.
The chink of the chisel on the lovely blue granite.
A rounded shape wins over the angular block.
I straighten my back, silence falls.
Cling clang, cling clang.
My brazen friend the blackbird has a lark with me.
Does he like the sculpture?
I think he does.
Maybe things aren´t all that bad.
